We were spoiled that this was our first hotel in Japan. The room was very large and very clean. They provide slippers for use- great for us since we always take our shoes off. They provided pajamas which I LOVED so much I wanted to buy them. The staff is so kind and the area is so convenient to everything you’d want to see. Gion has so much rich culture and history. I was honestly nervous about the location but it’s so easy to get around that it was never an issue. It’s very close to a Lawson and they provide water bottles every day if you ask. They also have ice cream in the lobby! They also had THE BEST bidet out of everywhere we stayed in Japan.

Room was spacious, there weren’t too many rooms per floor to not overcrowd the small corridor. We appreciated the couch corner and having a Nespresso inside the room. It was nice to have Netflix available and chill at the end of long walking days. The second lady who helped us book tickets for a Sumo event was incredibly nice. The guy who tried to book a restaurant was also very kind.

Apartment is very well situated in the Gion neighborhood, in a very small street behind the main Shijo dori street (thus calmer), close yo everything (subway, restaurants, river, shrines and temples). Many of the most interesting sites are at walkable distance.

Facilities are clean, AC works well. Very nice staff. No complaints. You're very close to some of the major temples.
